A quick and easy recipe for the popular Middle Eastern hummus dip.
- 1 can chickpeas, drained and rinsed
- 2 cloves garlic, crushed
- 2 tablespoons oil
- 1/2 teaspoon pepper
- Juice of 1 lemon
- Place chickpeas, garlic, oil, pepper and lemon juice in a food processor or blender and whizz until smooth.
- Refrigerate the dip until ready to serve.
- Serve with vegetable sticks or oven baked tortilla chips.
Add a little more lemon juice if the hummus is too thick.
